QUILTING  PRICES

$50 Minimum charge

$.015 -$.02 per sq inch for Pantograph Quilting and Big Meander

$.025 per sq inch for Close Meander

Stippling, will give quote upon request.

$10.00 for pressing

$20.00 per hour for any miscellaneous sewing

$.12 per linear inch to attach customer supplied binding to top of quilt

$20.00 remounting fee

Like many machine quilters, I have based my pricing structure on square inches. To find the number of square inches in your quilt top, you will need to measure accurately, and multiply the length by the width.

Example:

56" wide X 60" long = 3360 sq inches

3360 sq inches X $.015 =$50.40

 

Please be aware that these prices do not include plain, variegated or specialty threads, batting, backings and taxes are not included in the price. Also prices are subject to change at any time.

 

- Don’t baste your quilt. It needs to arrive at my studio in 2 or 3 pieces;

1. quilt top
2. backing fabric
3. batting.

- Make sure the borders of your quilt are flat and square! To do this, measure through the center and then both edges of the quilt top vertically; if there is more than a 1" difference, you will want to redo your borders, as I will not quilt a top in this condition.

- Make seams in backing side-to-side, not top-to-bottom if possible, makes quilting easier.

- Please ensure that the batting and backing are 6"-8" longer and wider than your top

- Please stay stitch 1/8" – 1/4" around the perimeter of pieced borders

- Trim any long or loose threads. They may show through the quilt top or get caught in the machine.

- Check your seams for loose or open areas, I will charge $20/hour for fixing seams.

- Please square the quilt top and the backing and remove any selvage edges in the top or backing.

- Quilts will be quilted in condition received or a $10.00 pressing fee per piece  will be charged if you wish your quilt pressed.

- Minimum Charge $50 on quilting.
